How to Set Up IPTV on MAG Box & Formuler

The quick answer: Connect your MAG or Formuler box to your TV via HDMI, enter the portal URL from your IPTV provider in the device's portal settings, reboot, and channels load automatically. What You Need
- A MAG box (MAG 322, 324, 424, 524, 549) or Formuler box (Z7+, Z8, Z11, GTV, CC).
- Portal URL from your IPTV provider (get a free trial to test first).
- Ethernet connection — strongly recommended over Wi-Fi for MAG/Formuler boxes.
Method 1: Configure MAG Box via Stalker Portal
- Step 1 — Connect everything. Plug the HDMI cable into your TV, connect Ethernet to your router, and power on the MAG box.
- Step 2 — Access portal settings. During boot (when the MAG logo appears), press the SET or Menu button on your remote to enter the settings menu. Alternatively, go to Settings → System Settings → Servers → Portals.
- Step 3 — Enter the portal URL. In the "Portal 1 URL" field, enter your provider's portal URL exactly as provided (e.g., http://portal.example.com:80/c/).
- Step 4 — Note your MAC address. Go to Settings → System Settings → Network to find your device's MAC address. Send this to your provider so they can activate your device.
- Step 5 — Save and reboot. Press OK to save, then reboot the MAG box. It will connect to the portal and load your channels automatically.
- Step 6 — Start streaming. The portal loads a TV Guide-style interface with channels, categories, and EPG. Navigate with the remote to start watching.
Method 2: Configure Formuler Box via MyTVOnline
- Step 1 — Power on your Formuler box and open the MyTVOnline app from the home screen.
- Step 2 — Select "Add Portal" or "Add Source" and choose "Portal" as the connection type.
- Step 3 — Enter the portal URL from your provider. Give it a name (e.g., "Marinios IPTV").
- Step 4 — Save and connect. The portal will load channels and EPG automatically.
- Step 5 — For M3U playlists on Formuler, choose "Add M3U" instead and paste your M3U URL.

Troubleshooting MAG Box & Formuler IPTV
Common MAG/Formuler issues and fixes:
- "Portal server is down" or black screen: Double-check the portal URL for typos. Ensure your MAC address has been registered by your provider. Try rebooting both the box and your router.
- Channels buffer or freeze: Use Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi (MAG boxes perform much better on wired). Confirm 25+ Mbps speeds. See the buffering guide.
- "Authentication failed" error: Your MAC address may not be registered, or your subscription may have expired. Contact your provider with your device MAC. See error codes.
- EPG not loading: The portal may need time to sync. Wait 5-10 minutes after first boot. If it persists, the EPG source may need updating from the provider side.

MAG boxes are made by Infomir and run the Stalker portal natively — they're purpose-built for IPTV. Formuler boxes run Android but use the MyTVOnline app for portal access. Both deliver excellent IPTV experiences; Formuler adds Android app flexibility on top.
Yes. Your MAG box's MAC address must be registered with your IPTV provider before the portal will work. Find it in Settings > System Settings > Network. Send this MAC to your provider to activate your subscription on that device.
Newer MAG boxes (MAG 420 and later) support M3U playlists via the built-in browser or VLC app. However, the portal/Stalker method is more stable and provides a better EPG experience. Use portal if available from your provider.
